Emily Tucker has a BFA, with a concentration in drawing, and Minor in Business Administration from Clemson University. She currently resides in the low country of Charleston, South Carolina where she continues making work.
As an artist, there is a need to make a mark whether it is a large scale detailed drawing, or the margins of class notes. It has always been this way since childhood. Most work is centered on the theme of finding oneself and the beauty that goes along with it. This beauty is found in the little things around her that she enjoys such as a meditative walk through the woods or the quiet time spent with her horses. These, and much more, have helped shape her and she is forever in awe of creation and strives to capture its delicacy through mark making.
